A Storyteller with a Healer’s Heart

Fire at my core...water at heart

It all started this morning when I heard James Taylor sing Fire and Rain. For some reason, I wondered what my Element is  (Fire, Water, Air, Earth).  I thought I must be water because I love the beach so much. So I  looked it up.

I was born under the sign of Sagittarius, a sign known for seeking meaning, telling stories, and looking for the deeper truth in life’s moments.

While Sagittarius may be my core, my heart tells a different story.

I don't really follow astrology and don't know how to figure out my "Moon and Rising Sign". I had to google that. It has to do with the time and place you were born.

It said that both my moon and rising signs are Cancer, a sign rooted in home, memory, and emotional connection. It is the part of me that holds on to moments, that remembers the small details, and that feels deeply the love of family, both here and beyond.

When I write, I can see now that both parts are always present.
The storyteller in me wants to make meaning of life’s experiences and the nurturer in me wants to hold those experiences and share them in a way that comforts others.

Caitlin’s Star was written for a child.
But it was also written from a place that understands how love, loss, and memory live within us at every age.

Maybe that is what my “special job” is—
to tell stories that help people remember, feel, and heal.

And for the record, my element is Fire. My love of the beach comes from the Cancer sign (ocean, tides, wide horizons, big expansive places).

What about you?
What is your element?
And if you think about it… what might your “special job” be?
