My Visiting Nurse

Recovery is a journey. Often uncomfortable, but also filled with unexpected moments of connection and gratitude.
At my first visiting nurse appointment yesterday following knee surgery, she asked about my work. I shared that I recently wrote Caitlin’s Star, my children’s book navigating loss. She told me her grandchildren have been asking big questions about death and said the book sounded like something families truly need.
I gave her a copy for her three grandchildren, and she gave me a hug and said she wants to tell everyone about the book.
Even while healing physically, I was reminded how stories can help heal hearts (and how networking is a gift). đź’™This is why I wrote the book.
